Dubai Charity Association announced the successful conclusion of its Ramadan campaign, “The goodness endures,” this year, achieving exceptional reach and social impact. The campaign provided assistance to over 3.2 million beneficiaries within the UAE and in 31 countries worldwide, through a comprehensive framework of seasonal projects and sustainable developmental initiatives.
His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, CEO of Dubai Charity Association, affirmed that the record-breaking results achieved by the campaign reflect the deeply rooted values of giving within the UAE community. He praised the pivotal role of strategic partners, goodwill ambassadors, and field teams.
He highlighted that the association operates according to a strategic vision aimed at establishing structured humanitarian work and achieving sustainability, in alignment with the principles of the “Fifty-Year Charter” launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, particularly Article Nine, which calls for annual growth in humanitarian initiatives to match the country’s economic development.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi explained that the association’s initiatives addressed the needs of a wide range of beneficiaries. Approximately 1.3 million people benefited from the “Iftar sayem” project (965,000 within the UAE and 257,000 abroad), in addition to the distribution of 70,000 Iftar meals to drivers as part of the “Koun bkhair” initiative. Meanwhile, the “Goodness Coupon” program assisted more than 108,000 beneficiaries both inside and outside the UAE.
Dubai Charity also distributed Zakat Al-Fitr to 325,000 beneficiaries and provided Eid clothing to 14,600 individuals, including low-income families, widows, orphans, and people of determination. In addition, the association sponsored and cared for 14,500 orphans across the UAE and 14 countries worldwide, thereby strengthening the social safety network for these groups.
As part of its commitment to sustainable development, His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi announced the launch of the implementation phase for major international projects targeting 1.5 million beneficiaries. These projects include the construction of 261 mosques, 959 wells, 191 homes for the poor, 21 schools and Quran memorization centers, 279 projects supporting productive families, 4 health clinics, 2 residential complexes, 3 orphanages, 882 charitable endowments, 1,544 public projects, among other initiatives that contribute to creating long-term positive change in the targeted communities.
The CEO of Dubai Charity Association concluded by extending his deepest gratitude to the donors and philanthropists, both individuals and institutions, affirming that this community solidarity is the main driving force behind the association’s mission. He emphasized that Dubai Charity will continue its pioneering role in solidifying the UAE’s position as a global hub for humanitarian work and a beacon of sustainable giving.
