Dubai Charity Association, in collaboration with Tadawi Hospital, organized a special event under the slogan "My Strength is My Femininity," coinciding with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event aimed to educate female employees about the risks of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, promoting a culture of prevention and public health among the female staff of the association.
The event, held at the association’s headquarters, witnessed notable participation. It included an educational session conducted by a specialized medical team from Tadawi Hospital, focusing on the importance of early detection of breast cancer and emphasizing that screening in its early stages significantly increases recovery rates. The session also provided training on the correct steps and optimal timing for performing monthly self-examinations, highlighting the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, and regular physical activity as key preventive measures.
On this occasion, H.E. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, said: "This initiative reflects the association’s commitment to investing in its human capital. Working women are a fundamental pillar of the charitable sector, and ensuring their health is an integral part of empowering them and sustaining their performance. We also extend our gratitude to Tadawi Hospital for the fruitful partnership, which exemplifies the collaboration between the charitable and healthcare sectors in serving the community."
He added: "God willing, we will organize another event under the same title, 'My Strength is My Femininity,' in collaboration with both Medicure Hospital and Al Hikma, on October 31. This reflects the effective partnership that enhances quality of life and contributes significantly to reducing the incidence of diseases that can be controlled through early detection."
The event concluded with the distribution of informational booklets and awareness materials, emphasizing the importance of continuing regular screenings and maintaining a healthy and sustainable lifestyle
