Dubai Charity Association organized an honorary Suhoor event for its partners from various entities, institutions, and individuals, in appreciation of their sincere efforts and valuable contributions to the success of its Ramadan campaign, " The goodness endure", this year. The event was part of its continuous efforts to enhance avenues of mutual cooperation and was held at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel.
The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Busnad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Charity Association, along with a distinguished group of prominent figures, officials from ministries, departments, granting institutions, and a number of board members and association officials.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a speech from Mr. Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, the Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, who expressed his gratitude and welcomed the partners. In his speech, he said:
"The success of our Ramadan campaign (The goodness endure) was not just a figure to be announced or a statistic to be mentioned; it was a symphony of generosity and giving, with you as its melody and your compassionate hearts as its rhythm, driven by your deep belief in the value of social solidarity. You have truly been the architects of joy and the creators of hope. With your generous support and unwavering faith in our mission, and by the grace of God, we were able to reach a larger number of those in need, bringing joy and happiness to their hearts during this blessed month."
During the event, a short documentary was presented, highlighting Dubai Charity Association's Ramadan campaign, which includes a set of key projects: Iftar for Fasting Individuals, Ramadan Food Parcels, Orphan's Joy,
Zakat Al-Fitr, and Zakat Al-Mal. The campaign is implemented in the UAE and 20 countries worldwide, benefiting more than 2 million people both locally and internationally.
Additionally, the campaign features various sustainable charitable projects that cater to the humanitarian and social needs of beneficiaries. These include building mosques, orphanages, Quran memorization centers, educational projects, clinics, housing for the underprivileged, water well drilling, and other humanitarian and developmental initiatives.
As part of the "Iftar sayem " project, Dubai Charity Association distributes over one million Iftar meals both within the UAE and abroad. This includes 750,000 meals distributed across the UAE, with a daily distribution rate of 25,000 meals to fasting individuals, including workers and low-income individuals, at 31 locations across Dubai. Additionally, the project provided 260,000 Iftar meals in 12 countries worldwide during the holy month.
Following a special segment presented by Emirati media personality Diala Ali, which explored Ramadan traditions in the UAE, past and present, the event concluded with His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Busnad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Charity Association, inviting the Ramadan campaign partners for an honorary recognition ceremony. This gesture was in appreciation of their generous support for Dubai Charity Association’s noble humanitarian mission and their contributions to serving the community.
