Dubai Charity Association actively participated in the “An Hour to Build a Community” campaign, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority in Dubai, by preparing and distributing food boxes (essential grocery supplies) to underprivileged and deserving families across the Emirate of Dubai.
This pioneering community initiative, launched by the Community Development Authority, aims to encourage individuals and organizations to dedicate one hour of their time to participate in volunteer work — fostering a spirit of social responsibility, promoting a culture of volunteering, and contributing to building a more aware and cohesive society.
The campaign aligns with the objectives of the “Year of the Community” and embodies the Emirate’s vision of strengthening the values of solidarity and unity.
Dubai Charity Association’s participation came through the mobilization of many of its volunteers and staff members, who dedicated their time and effort to sorting and packing the food boxes.
The “Mir” boxes provided by the association were distinguished by their diversity and completeness, carefully prepared to meet the essential daily nutritional needs of underprivileged families.
Commenting on this participation, His Excellency Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, said:
